Hiya

I bought 2 HUUUUUGE amazon swords off a member here today and they are lush almost as tall as the tank and I have no idea where to plant them to make the most of them, I was thinking in the middle of the wood pile in the middle, would that not make the whole thing a bit tidy though? What do you think?

I'd say one each either side of the root effect thing on the background.and if they dont look right, then you can just donate them both to me!

LOL you think like me, I thought there, but I am worried about having too much symmetry, then again if they are both over one side, I will worry about not having enough symmetry!

hi, i'd put one to the left of the driftwood, and one behind it. :good:

(but i'd probably pull them out and move them constantly  )

I'd put them by the back wall either side of the driftwood(maybe the left one can come in a bit more towards the centre), if they are to close to the sides it will look overcrowded at the ends imo

i'd put both on the right side (as you looking at the tank) at the back, you don't want it to be too symetrical.

Here's what I've done with them, let me know what you think, too symmetrical? They are huge aren't they!! Maybe move the left one forward into the space a bit more?

Looks perfect, whoever had the idea to plant them there is a GENIUS! lol

 well great minds think alike, that was my first choice, certainly didn't fancy uprooting anything to place them, but I still wonder if they should come forward a bit, or one of them should, or be more in the actual wood? I dunno :S

when you said they were big... WOW!!! i didn't realise they would be that big. the tank looks great, and great positioning. :good:

If you bring them forward wont the fishies hide behind them? mine are close to the back,I'm hoping it'll force them to bush out aswell as up.I got no scientific knowledge on that, just blind faith! lol

 you are sooooo like me mel . il get my tank looking lovely think its all perfect then look at it the next day and think hmm maybe i should just turn that piece of wood round a bit and move this forward that backward etc , then spend the next couple of hours moving thing literally like a centemetre just cos of my fishtank ocd .

lovely swords btw :good:

LMAO @ Mark!! I actually LOSE sleep over it... I so need to get out more!!

It's nice to have a hobby (but yeah, we are slightly freaks lmaooo)
Do you ever entire nights dreaming about the same thing, even though you've woken up in between? I do that with my tank and my fish and have mental dreams like my fish speak to me, or I realise there's no water in the tank but they are all alive or they've all doubled/tripled in size or something, totally mad.
