Where to get a powerfull bulb from ?

after a high wattage bulb, been in most of the fish shops near me and cant find anything above a 20watt, any one give me any places where i can get about a 50watt ?

I don't really think you'll find a higher wattage fluorescent tube at the same length. sorry.

clutterydrawer is right, the wattage of a bulb is in correspondance to it's length. To get more watts you'll need to add another bulb.

To get more watts you need to move into HO (high output) or VHO (very high ouput) lights. To do this you will need to replace the ballace in your hood. They can get very high in cost. The best thing to do is go with a compact floresent light. They go up to 400w and use about the same anout of power as 2 normal 20w light bulbs.

You could also try using reflectors.
