Where to buy Bettas in the **USA**

I was just wondering if thier was a better place to buy bettas then Aquabid.com. I dont like Aquabid...... I dont trust people like that with bettas.....

EDIT: What I ment from not trusting people like that with bettas I ment buying a betta from a random person. I meen I would be more confertable buying a Betta from all you becuause .. well....I know your true fish enthusiests and not people like might be in it all for the money. Thats all......

People like what? There are many very good Betta breeders/sellers on AB, including some people from these forums. But you can check to see if there is a local chapter of the IBC in your area and if there is, you can check with them if any of their members have any fish for sale. Other than that I guess just check all your local fish shops. Looking for local breeders is how I got my first pair and then I joined the local IBC chapter and have gotten the rest of my fish from the auctions we hold each month after our meetings. Great quality breeding stock at ridiculously low prices

not to hijack, but is there a list of betta clubs, or a website i can check out. sadly the better cared for bettas i have found near me have been at petco...

If you're interested in purchasing Bettas from people here, you could put a post in the "buy/sell/swap" section of the forums, something I didn't think to mention in my other response...then just to make sure people think to look there, you can mention it in a post in this section with the link (cause I know I rarely look in that section of the forums, but maybe I need to start since I'm about to have a ton of Bettas for sale, hehe).

as said, look on the IBC website for a local chapter. they also have links there to breeders. these are online, but you'll know youre getting quality stock from people who care. i understand your hesitation about aquabid. its a little scary at first. but i must say, i've been please with all fish, bettas or otherwise, that i have gotten from that site.
