Where They Swim

Hey guys, I have a firefish and a true perc in my 10g, and I noticed that they spend a majority of their time on the left hand side of my tank. I have 2 big caves and I barely ever see them swim in and out of it. So I was just wondering if any of you guys have fish that only swim around in a certain area?? (Also I forgot to mention my powerhead is on the right side, if that effects them in anyway...)

Oh yeah, fish totally stake out territories. My clownfish used to rule the bottom right side of the aquarium before I moved it. Currently my purple firefish has taken ownership of front and center in the tank, while some of my wrasses have staked claims to varying sides of the tank. Perfectly natural.

Yeh was the same in my tank most of my fish stayed at one side of the tank.

Be aware that firefish can basically be outcompeted by anything, so don't expect him to hold the territory.
