I'm trying to plan stocking levels and seem to be getting very different max sizes for some fish, e.g Cardianls, one source says max size 2.5cm where another says 5cm. Thats a big difference! Does anybody have some good sites/guidelines on where to source this info?

Cheers!

there's always varience, fishbase.org is usually fairly accurate. basically though consult a number of sources and go with the consensus

Thanks, the problem is 3 sources say 2.5cm and 3 sources say 5cm lol.... I guess its best to take an average and see how things go.

3cm is about as big as any cardinal tetra I have ever seen, but that doesn't include the tail.

That in itself could be the difference, some sites measure with the tail included, where others class fish size as the body and not including the tail.
