I've been looking on ebay, and all of the nice looking stuff is frackin expensive to ship!!
Thinking I might just buy a bunch of smaller pieces and then use that aquarium silicone stuff to glue them together in to whatever shape

See if you can get hold of Manzanite root! That stuff is awesome! Theres a guy on Aquatic Plant Central that sells it I believe. I think in parts of California you can just walk around and find it.

I dunno if you're after specific ones, but you could always head down to a waterway and pick one up which you like. Then you just have to go thru the process of cleaning it and disinfect it from pathogens. Grab one from the beach, washed up on the sand, There are plenty of nice and weirdly shaped ones.
