I have 3 Mollies in my tank..... I can only find 2 of them.
2 silver lyretail mollies, and a black lyretail....
The black and one silver are hiding behind a large decoration in the back corner, and are coming out to play and eat occasionally. I asume the other silver is back there as well.... I can see 95% of the area back there.... No bodies visabile.... -_-

Not likely she passed away... I saw her less than 12 hours prior, and she was happy and appeared heathy. I see No floating parts. I am worried about her.... But she was getting a Huge belly... I think she may be in labor. (I hope) but she did not come out to eat..... NO sign of her anywhere!?!?!?

Do mollies hide like this when they are giving birth? :S

Any insight or advice would be Great!!

Thank you Again!
Adam

Wow. Hmm... I'd remove all the decorations and look inside of them as well. I'm sure she's in there somewhere. Livebearers like to hide or side next something when they give birth. Hope you find her! :)

mollies when they are pregnant become very lazy, unless its feeding time, often they will sit on the bottom of the tank and not move for quite some time(looking dead), if you do have somewhere sheltered which it sounds like you do, i would imagine they are sitting there feeling safe while they are pregnant :) dont worry just yet, i wouldnt destroy your tank setup looking for her, it will only strees her more.

keep feeding as normal if she doesnt appear in a few days then its time to look for her more intrusivly.

Hi
I did use my net to lift my fake drift wood up and turn it around a few times, only a few pieces of gravel came out.
That is the only decoration that the fish can get inside.
I did'nt want to disturb to much... cause the other 2 mollies where a little more crazy, (stressed, I guess) than I have ever seen them.

I turned off the filter and stopped half of the air bubbles, to catch a better view, But it did not help. I could see all of the gravel behind the deco., but not under the lip of its Mushroom thing

I know that if she were gone, I would see some evidance of her somewhere.

I guess I'll do another syphon water change (in a few days) and get a closer look.
Thanks
Adam

DoH!
Hello.

I am still looking for my mollie.... no luck yet.
And to make matters worse, My tank is becoming cloudy?!?!
I changed the filter carbon/zeolite, only 9 days ago, and did a 25% water change a week ago today.
My water was clear on Tuesday night, and got cloudy by Thursday night..... I am stumped.

I Think I saw a flash of the missing Mollie behind my mushroom, when the other fish where eating, Almost sure I saw her... But it is Cloudy :S And it was a brief flash.... I assume it must be her, nobody else is in there.

I'm Hoping she's OK

Thanks Again.

sounds positive :) least theres a sign of her perhaps!!

check all you water parameters there must be something there making the water cloudy! did you have a more intrusive look for the mollie, ie move stuff about that could have affected the water?

my dalmatiion molly is very close to giving birth and she keeps hiding under some bogwood. Perhaps they do it for comfort near labour

 still nothing!

I think she flew away!

I have no idea what could have happened to her........... I feel bad, Like I should have done somthing.
-_-

Thanks everybody....

Maybe I'll look at other fish, to keep her old friends company.
