Where Can I Get A Malawi Crab?

found them for you there is a place in staffs called african aquaticafrican aquatic this may be just a trade place though.

Just make sure your tank is ready for one - they do eat fish and will crawl out of the tank if it isn't fully covered.

Think about it very carefull. I made the same mistake I bought a Malawi Crab and ended up with bying a tank just for the crab. As he will have a go at the other fishes. Now i got him I would not get rid of him because he is so cute. Need a good filter as crabs are messy eaters.

I had him for about 3 month. I bought him to go into my 100 gallan tank. When I was at the till to pay for him some other customer said ohhh nooo I had one of them and he ate my £ 40 fish. I thought what have I done but didnt have the heart to give him back as I already fallen in love with him. So took him home and put him in my quartine tank for two days then I decided to buy a 60 litre tank just for him. have to do a water change every 4 days as he is a messy eater. he eats prawns, cockle, mussels, frozen lanzer fish. You need a tank with a secure hood as they like to escape.
I heard that Malawi Crabs are hard to come by but my lfs has them regular.

yeah,they are hard to come by.i've never seen them at any of my lfs.
