Well, i've check at all of the LFS withint a 20 mile radius from my house, and not one of them sells bio-spira...

So ive searched online for a place that sells it, and i still cant find anyplace that sells it :(

Could someone here tell me a website thats based in the USA, that sells Bio-Spira? (Besides Dr. Foster & Smith, cuz they charge too much for it)

Thanks in advanced for your help!

Thanks!!!

I got a question... i know they recomend using overnight delivery, but i cant afford that....
I called UPS, and i check on their website, if i have it shipped by ups ground, it will take 3 business days to get to me... from SD to NY.

Will the Bio-Spira survive that long?

it is winter here, and the temperatures during the day are not freezing, but not hot, like today the temp is currently 39 degrees F, and its almost 6PM...
I just hope the product dont freeze during transit, as that will ruin it, and it will be usless... But on tuesday its suppose to be 13 degrees F (Thats way below freezing, freezing temp is 32F)

I just dont know what to do... im on a very limited budget, so i cant afford overnight shipping, but i dont wanna order it, if its not gonna be any good when i get it...

What do you think I should do?

If the med freezes it will be no good so I wouldn't go with the 3 day delivery.
No any fish keepers near you who have bio spira.

I've checked pritty much everywhere, and no one in my area that i can find carrys it :(

I can call around a little more, but idk if ill find anyone.

Can't think of anything to be honest.
Even the one day delivery could be a risk with the cold weather.

Looks interesting and as I've got a severe case of MTS (1 tank up and running - 60l, 1 in progress - 140l, 1 planned - 190l corner tank - and this is only after a couple of months) is this available in the UK?

Don't think you can buy it in the uk yet.
There nutrafin beneifical bacteria cycle but don't rate it much.

I'd try to pay the overnight shipping on the Bio-Spira. It is live bacteria & has to be kept refrigerated to remain alive. It's not cheap to begin with, so why take a chance on it being dead when you get it? You never know how long it may sit in a warm mail room somewhere via regular shipping. I really searched around my area, but thankfully found 2 suppliers of it not far from me. The big chain pet stores like Petsmart & Petco didn't carry it. Have you checked out any small pet shops in your area? It sounds like you already did. Any major cities close to you that it would be cheaper to drive to than paying for the express shipping?

My sources are close to me, but I still bring mine home in a softsided insulated "cooler" bag, same way I transport fish in the winter (but to keep them warm). If a source is far from you you always use one of those freezer sticks or bags to keep it cool till you get back.

For those UK folks I came across a Tetra product called SafeStart. I don't know how good it is versus Bio-Spira though, but it also requires refrigeration so maybe it's similar? But, one site I found says it can be kept 12 months without refrigeration. Confusing!

Get the overnight if you can.
I ordered it from aquariumplants.. didn't have alot of money so went with the 3 day thinking the cold weather would keep it good.... well when it finally got to me. The coldpack it came with was warm and the BS was only cool.
I think there was SOME bacteria still alive left in it since my 10gal does have nitrate readings now, but it didn't cycle my tanks at all.

So yeah.. save up a little bit more or get money from somewhere and get the overnight delivery.
