This morning, I noticed that I couldn't actually see any of my cherry shrimp that I had brought on Sunday. On sunday, they were active and seemed settled straight away.
That's why I thought this morning was so odd, seeing as they were so active yesterday. I just presumed that they were understandably a little stressed and left for school.
Now, I've looked in there twice and can only see 2 at one time. Could the others still be hiding? Is this normal behaviour for shrimps?
Any advice is much appreciated.
Thank you! :)

Same thing happened to me a few years back. I had 10 I bought in the tank and the next day I could only see 2. I just assumed they died.....

.... A week later I cleaned the filter out and there they were, living in the filter!!

Hope you find yours soon.

Yes, I have 2 grown platies, around 15 platy fry and 3 male endlers in there, though the endlers are too preoccupied with eachother and I was told the platies would be fine with them anyway. Right now, I can see 3/4, and these 3 seem fine. Could it be possible one died and was eaten overnight/is still hiding?

Wow, in your filter?! That's crazy! I don't think they'd be able to get into mine, but I'd be pretty freaked out if they had!

Stupid question, but could one have climbed up the leads and out of the tank? Just wondered..xD

it could be hiding in plain sight. i had one that would get behind a little hill in the gravel of my tank and i could never find him.

I hope so! It could pretty easily blend into my gravel since it has red stones in it.

I just found 2 strange White blobs with black bits on them on the back of the leaves on one my plants. I was looking at it, then it started moving so I took them out. Any ideas what the heck they were? Snail babies, maybe?

Just found a dead shrimp in the filter while doing maintenance :(
