They still look like little things in the breeding net. When do they start to resemble adults?

Also, wut do I do wif em once they are all growed up? my tank ain't big enough to hold everything I got and I don't got enough room for unuther.

Keeping them in the breeding net long term will only stunt their growth. -_-
Mine are only a week old and are already 1cm long and look like little minatures of their mums  . They need space to grow
If you don't have room to keep them then really you should be finding a new home via the LFS. And best just leave them in the tank in the future to breed, that way a few of the very stongest will survive :flex: leaving you with not so many to re home. :hyper:

REALLY?!

Mine are a little over two weeks old now and though they're getting bigger, they only started to get some color on them a few days ago, and even now they are still mostly white/cream-colored with some black on their tail-fins. I hope my little guys aren't behind.... :(

One happy surprise though ... some of the babies are turning out orange and some are turning a pearl-color and have distinct twin-bar marks on their tails. :D I didn't realize it, but the few fry that I took out of the parents tank didn't belong to the red wag mother (I had her in a breeding net) -- apparently they belonged to the OTHER mom. So now I have a real surprise seeing how many of each kind I end up with. :D

Thats what I like about platy fry....with mine, I have so many different coloured mothers.....you never can tell....

The father is always the same though....he is the oldest adult male with a black spot just at the base all of his tail...>ALL my fry have it too!!

Yup I agree Thats the fun bit :p .. waiting to see what they grow into :)
Both mine came in preggers so I have no idea what to expect for the first drop. But I have a gogeous red and black male for them so I'm looking forward to seeing his fry. I have a bit of a mixture with plain red... red/black.. gold twin bar... and sunset so anything could pop out :hyper:
My babies were yellow when born and now 10 days on are getting a gorgeous orange glow to them and getting darker everyday. Mum is red/orange but no idea of dad. But they look like they are going to be one colour.

I love platies for their colour varietys, but with the darker coloured ones its hard work telling when they are going to drop, or is this just me?
