Hi there,
My female guppy has a very dark gravid spot although her tummy isnt that big. How long until she gives birth roughly and when should i put her in the breeders box i.e two weeks, 1 weeks, 3 days?

Is she squared off? As in, does he back of her stomach drop as much as the front?

Virgin females have gravid spots too, this is not a way guarantee that a female is pregnant.

It is best to move the female over a few hours before she gives birth, but it is even better to not use one of those boxes because they are often very stressful environments for the fish which can lead to problems during birthing. If you have enough hiding places in your main tank, the female will be much less stressed there and some fry should survive to adulthood. If you don't, then your fish would probably benefit if you added some anyway.
