When will my endlers give birth?I bought them from an LFS last week and they(both the male and female)are about two centimetres in length. They live in a two gallon tank and there's a Java fern inside there too. So,when will they give birth and how many fry are there going to be???

When they give birth will depend on when the female got pregnant. :) They are pregnant for about a month, so in a months time you shoudl have fry, probably sooner. How many fry depends on how old and large the female is. But usually somewhere between 10-30.

And as mentioned, you should get a few more females. It isn't a bad with Endlers, because they aren't really pushy like Platies or Mollies, but it's always a good idea to stock 2-3 females per male.

Best of luck!

My female endler is not pregnant yet, so what do I do?

Are you sure? Some won't get very fat...nor will all show a gravid patch. :)

Other then that, feed good foods, like Frozen/Freeze-dried/Live foods, and keep stress levels as low as possible.

My thoughts is she is stressed. 2 gallons is really tiny for Endlers, and just having one male and female isn't the best idea.

I hate to sound like the bearer of bad news, but you may never see any fry, not for the fact that won't be any, simply for the fact that the female, if she feels under ANY stress will eat her fry rather than surrender them. If the male gets a chance, he too will take the fry. Hate to say it, but your tank sounds a bit too small to sucessfully rear their fry.
If you don't get to see any fry, just enjoy them for the wonderful little fish that they are

Thanks for all the advice!I just got a container of about 3.5 gallons and I plan to transfer the endlers into it with the addition of a Java fern.
