So I've got the fish in my sig...

The babies are now about 6 weeks old - when do you think I should release them?

I'm worried at the moment that their mum is getting a bit too much attention from the new male guppy I got last week as company for her. He chases her quite a lot some time. In a sense I'd like to get another female to take away the constant attention, but I'm worried that the existing female might get jealous and beat her up (shes killed 3 other guppies), and that just adds another fish to the tank, when I have 10 babies growing quickly as well!

I thought about releasing some babies today, but I don't know if it's worth it. Their mum has a violent past, and they're still so small next to the adults. And how would they get their dust food as well if they're in the big tank - it will be much more spread out rather than right above them when they were in the separator -_-

Hope I can get some advice - thanks!

They should be ok to add to the tank, if they are big enough not to fit into the other fish mouths.

well i've added them and they seem to be too fast for the others to catch anyway, and they are eating normal fish flakes fine now :D

Ha... well you got lucky. I just added five 2 1/2 month old guppies to the resta the tank and my largest females devoured one of them :( .

Moved them all to another tank and all is good now, just one less...
