When to clip new buds off runners?

Hello, got a few A. Swords with fairly big (2-3 inch) buds weighting down the runners. They've got about 3 root stems and the bulb can be seen clearly. Should I go ahead and take them off or wait a bit?, and how would the best way to go about that task be?

I just pull mine off at the base where they join the runner. Then I plant them wherever. It's reall easy, and you can do it as soon as you see some roots on the runner.
