Just wondering, i'd rather put her in sooner than later, she is quite fat now, not looking as if she will pop, but I will be going on holiday for 4 days this weekend, and I don't want her to POP, while i'm away....
wopuld I be able to put her in now, or would it just stress her out?

no she should be fine just hope the babys wont be stressed from the mom trying to eat them

I agree with KnuckleHead. you will need lots of hiding places for the fry as mom will try to eat them. So lots of plants and other hiding places where fry can get but mom cant will help their chance of surviving until you return. Good Luck :)

You can put her in now but dont plan on seeing any fry upon your return. She will end up eating them.

it would be fine if the fry could get out of the tank but a net doesnt sound like they could get out. mommy gets really hungry after she gives birth. you can actually see a brownish colour at the back of her gravid spot as the fry develop to size just before they are born.

yes those black dots that you see on he tummy of the mama is there eyes. :D

The tank would be a better idea. Don't u have a spare tank sitting around somewhere?
no, The breeding net i have is like a plastic tank, with a sort of plastic grill to let the fry drop down.
I can see a brown part behind the black spot, should i put her in now?

Yes, you probably should. That could be the air bubble that the fry usually come out in. VERY carefully, net her and put her in.
