should i put the fish in bags and aclimatise them a i would with new fish even if the tanks are 2 metres apart?

Yes, as the tanks may differ in temperature, i would just leave them floating for a while then let them out.

I never have, the ph, unless you do anything to alter it, would be the same, the temp isnt likely to be much difference (of course if there is, then acclimate).

I just net and carry them across and release, far less stressful for them IMO. I did it just yesterday, I trf 21 fish from one tank to another, 10ft apart in my lounge.

I've always just pretty much netted and then plopped them in to the other tank :p But then again all our tanks are pretty much the same :D
If you feel more comfy in acclimating them, then def do it *nodnod*

i'm weird when i do it i fill a jug with tank water , net them and let the net sit in the jug while i carry them (floating in the water in the net) so they dont get stressed being out of the water
