When Do Guppy Fry Get Their Color?

I was just wondering when guppy fry get their color?

I have two batches of guppy fry, both around 2 monthes old, and they live in a 2.5 gallon. They all seem to be females with little black streaks on their tails, but no other colors. Are they still too young to have their color?

after the black bits come their colours start to come about 3 weeks later the darkness is where their end colour will come give them another month

mine are 3 weeks old and already getting black dots 2 of the big ones are yellow with tiny little black spots another is blue just plain baby blue i call him BABY bLuE

Sadly, I have not figured out what caused my 29 gallon to go into a crisis. I'm thinking a new fish brought a hidden disease and that's what caused most of my fish to die. So far, I haven't lost anymore fish...and I hope it stays that way! My tank looks so empty! I'm going to wait a couple of weeks before I add anymore new fish!

Here's how my tank looks now after the tank crisis:
Top level-empty
Middle level- only a few fish
Bottom level- two Africain frogs and some fish

i am sorry to hear that your tank looks so empty Maybe you have the problem taken care of so when you add more fish they will be just fine. Keep me posted and let me know what is up ok.

Thank you for caring about my tank with the crisis. I'll put posts up that tells how everything is doing, so I promise to keep you updated. The remaining fish look healthy and I might get a few more next week. I thinking about getting some guppies because I have none in my tank and I love their amazing colors!

Yeah, I vote for guppies, they are my favorite. B) I have a female that i watched her have her fry then I was able to save four of them and went out the next day and bought a 2 gallon hex tank to put them in. they are really neat to watch. I have three more pregnant ones in my 55 gallon community. I am just waiting to see what happens. Just keep me posted!!!!!!!!!!!
