I added my first lot of fish ( 1 betta and 4 guppies) Last Saturday and they are all doing really well and getting along fine.. Im really interested in getting a African Dwarf frog. Not sure if this is possible yet or not i have a 60L.

Any help appreciated :)

You need to test the water stats, no other way to tell. Did you cycle the filter (feed it ammonia) before adding the fish?

then you chose the wrong fish bud. Guppies are normally quite weak these days due to the constant inbreeding weakening the strains.

You need to test the water if your not, ideally daily until your cycle is over, and I would suggest that you DONT add anymore fish until it is complete.

HTH

Ive had them for a week and there all fine ive also got a betta in with and he is also fine and all getting along fine. I already am testing daily too.

Hi there,

I waited a month once my first lot of fish were added, luckily I already had all the filter media from my older tank.

I'd reccomend waiting a while longer, i'm impatient too and if I could would get my full target stocklist tommorow, but i'm adding just 2 - 3 fish at a time every 2 weeks now with a fully established tank.

Chig you need to atleast wait until you have cycled the tank, the fish you have already got will be strugging, adding more fish/frogs/whatever will put more strain on the filter by adding more of a bioload.

Okay i only asked! and you said they would be dead in 24hrs and they are all swimming round happy.....

Chig, just do what I said I think tbh, obviously keep doing your water changes and checks - I personally have never done a "fish in" cycle so am not the best person to help, but i'm pretty sure what I said above will apply still :)

Got any pics of your tank? I'm curious! :D
