When betta jumped out of tank...

About 3 days ago my betta jumped out of his tank and landed on the floor. I was told that his slimecoat might have come off. Well we didn't touch him with our hands but he did hit the carpet. Now he has two whitish spots on his back. Is he dying? Is he sick? He is still eating and swimming fine, but I have never seen this before..

Help.

he should be fine. keep an eye on the white spots and if you are really concerned move him to another tank by himself. could be just missing scales from flopping around.

Oh god, this happened to me a couple months ago and scared the heck out of me.

Luckily I walked in there when I did, and the cat didn't discover him first. He was alive. I put him back in. He sank to the bottom where he laid there for an hour. He didn't have white spots, but he was covered in cat hair. An hour or so later, he was eating. He's fine now. And the tank is covered now, with either a glass lid or a ladies' hairnet on warm days.
