I was thinking over my feeding schedule, and that got me curious what others think of mine, and what other people's schedules are!
Here's mine:
Sunday-Friday(bloodworms):
Females (shared tank) - 3 pinin am, 1 at noon, 3 at night
Males - 1 pin in am, 1/2 at noon, 1 at night
Saturday:
Females - 2 shelled defrosted peas, cut up small in am
Males - 1/2 shelled defrosted cut up peas in am

What's your feeding schedule??

wait! You only feed yours on saturday and sunday? I feed mine one pinch everyday at about 10pm, 1hr before bed, I feed bloodworm on friday as a weekend snack and defrosted shelled pea on sundays to help keep them regular

XD no! Sunday-Friday I feed them freeze dried bloodworms! Saturday they get shelled peas!

Oh ok, I was about to say wow! I couldn't imaging going that long without food, lol. I guess I mis-read, sorry about that! I fractured my foot yesterday so the pain meds have me a little loopy I guess...

My breeding male gets blood worm every other day and in between he gets pea and flake:

Day: blood worm pm
Day2: flake am
Pea pm
Day 3 bloodworm pm
And it just goes like that :)

Ideally freeze dried should be avoided as a regular food as it causes bloating, and when used as a treat! should be soaked first. They ideally need a betta pellet as a stable food.

Monday-Thursday mine get a mix of 3 different Betta Pellets
Friday they get Bloodworm *Frozen*
Saturday is fasting day so they get nothing.
Sunday they get Veg, so peas, carrot etc

Same routine for all my fish :)

I've tried both flake and pellet, and they'll refuse to eat :/ Freeze dried bloodworms are the only thing they'll eat for the most part! I soak them first for about 3 minutes at least

I agree, mine will not touch the pellets, even when I get a brand new one that has had nothing else but pellets won't touch them, IDK what it is...

My male after breeding wouldnt eat flake hes only started to start eating them again :) but i prefer a natural diet for my betta males :)

I would feed live If I could afford it... How many lbs do you think 6 younger bettas would eat in a month??

Everyone is fed once a day at 7AMMonday-Friday:
Pellets for the betta
Flakes for everyone else

Monday, Wednesday, Friday:
Bloodworms

Saturday-Sunday:
Frozen Food. I have a freshwater multipack that has bloodworms and brine shrimp. I cut up 1 cube and feed a little bit to everyone. After it thaws in tank water of course.

My fry tank gets flakes for Mama at 7AM and 8PM. Twice to keep her from chasing the babies.
First bites for the babies at 7AM, 12PM, 4PM, and 8PM
The Mama likes to eat the baby food so I put in a little extra each time.

Currently, my guys get 1 Hikari Betta Pellet twice a day, except for Draco who gets 2 twice a day because he is so active. I was giving a dehydrated bloodworm or two twice a week as a treat (soaked in tankwater first to soften), but I think I am going to get some frozen bloodworms and use those thawed out instead. Occasionally, I'll get some brine shrimp and feed a couple of them every few days. (I don't get these often as so many of them die before I use them all as the lfs I get them at gives a "portion" of them at a time, which is at least several hundred.)

I usually fast them 1-2 days a week, though they are never happy about this lol.

The only problem with that is its not the best diet for them. As a stable daily diet pellets give them everything they need. Bloodworm doesn't.

Anyone having trouble getting there Betta to eat pellets starve them for a few days and only offer pellets. They will eat them. Don't be afraid they'll starve to death cause a healthy fish can go 2 weeks with no food. Give it a good 4 days then feed for a few days. Be persistant.

A diet of bloodworm for them us like a diet of chocolate for us. Treat only ;)

I tried going 3 days then pellets, wouldn't eat. Went 2 more days. Still wouldn't eat. 2 more, still wouldn't eat! I went 2 more, still refused! I gave in at 10 days, and fed them the bloodworm
