Whats Your Favorite South American Cichlid?

Mine is prolly the oscar but whats yours?

I like pike cichlids alot. The jaguar cichlid is probably one of my favorites even though i dont have tank big enough to house one. Also Peacock bass are by far my favorite, but they dont look like the typical cichlid, and they get HUGE!

well they kinda are but it depends on your geogrophy skills

the green terror kicks ass its lovely, but my favorite south american cichlid has to be



THE EMERALD CICHLID.

they are as intelegant as oscars and twice the colopurs being an unusualgreena and red with bright orange/red eyes. mine grows like a monster and has twice the appetite of my oscars

Discus, Urau, Servums , and Geophagus are my faviorates but I only have kept Discus, so my all time faviorate are Discus

I know they catch them in florida and around that area too. I always thought they lived in the amazon... I'd like to know where they are from though.

Actually Oscars can be found in Venezuela and along the east coast of South America til about Paraguay.
