What's your favorite emergent moss?

Need to add some mosses or other tiny plants (thinking about trying some liverwort or crystalwort) to the waterfall areas of my paludarium. Need something that can attach to a hard surface and grow out of a trickle of water. Good old java moss would work, but something more interesting is always fun. Any recommendations that have worked for you?

We have done that, and I would guess about half of the mosses in the tank were wild-collected in Michigan and here in Wyoming. But I live in a desert, and spring doesn't come until around April. Hoping to add something a bit sooner than that.
