My centrepiece is my Rendahls Catfish however he is so timid he might be demoted to special feature...he is pictured in my signature I have a few other pics of him in my pic thread to

Well, I have a lot of tanks, so I won't bore you all with my guesses of my centerpiece fish in all of them! We'll stick to my 90g "show tank". My Kissing Gourami would have to be the centerpiece there...

8" of Gourami goodness.

i would say my archer fish is my center piece fish but most people love my crab

Omen, my jaguar cichlid, is the focal of my only "on display" tank. He has a 90-gallon to himself, save 2 plecos, prominent in our living room. My other tanks, ranging from 2g-30g,are all in a seperate fishroom and most of them are species or breeding setups, not meant for display really.

the jaguar is :good: only ever seen tiny ones...... how big is he?

He was about 6 inches body length when I got him (in those photos), he's put on some size since then, probably 7.5 at this point.

And not only is he huge, he sings opera, too!

One of his "hobbies" that cracks me way up is rearranging the snails. He has some big apple snails in the tank, and, well, being a cichlid he moves rocks around a lot to "nest", and he seems tothink the snails are just weird rocks that MOVE... he picks them all up, dumps them in a corner with the rest of his rocks, and gets REALLY ANNOYED when they don't stay there. He'llput them back in place for maybe half an hour running, then get annoyed, whap the whole area with his tail, and ignore them the rest of the day, then he'll try again.

(Here's his size relative to his 90 tank, again when I first got him... the tank's a 4-footer.)

Not really in any tank right now(Quarantine), but he's my favorite boy!!

Rio, the Apistogramma cacatuoides:

Some gorgeous fish in this thread!

lighter: that panaque is a pic from Pleco Fanatics isn't it? Why are it's eyes so sunken :/

Mine would have to be my male Boesmani Rainbow

ummm probably my Oscar, not got a decent recent pic of him though.

Ian's tank in itself is our centerpiece in the living room really, he's just in the process of converting to high tech planted and it's gorgeous, looks so luscious and green :D
