Whats Wrong

i just fed my betta and he is not eating the food i just got him last night if that might contribute to why he is not eating should i try different foods too all i have is the floating pellets goldfish flakes and tropical fish flakes

It can take bettas days to eat when they go to their new home.
I wouldn't worry just yet.

well im leaving on a 3 day trip tommorow morning if they dont eat by then, then what do i do

he would be ok, they can go days with out food.
Is no one there to look after/feed him over the 3 days??

I'd leave him without being fed for three days. The risk of someone inexperienced over-feeding and polluting the water while you're away is too big.

Yes, fish can easily go two weeks without food.

a healthy fish can yes, my 1st male betta didn't start eating till i'd had him 2 weeks

Okay it's been about 4 or 5 days and it looks like he has fin rot I bought him like that because my dad told me that it was fine he still is not eating the first night I had him he looked at the food put it in his mouth and spit it out could he be not eating just because he dosnt like the food

Just fed him again he did the same thing he took it and then spit it out and left it alone

No bettas I've ever owned have been able to eat pellets. They always seem too big for their little mouths.
Have you tried to get any bloodworms? They must taste like candy to bettas- mine always (eventually) gobbled them up.
I did have one betta who died a week or two after I got him- he went on a hunger strike and starved to death. I do believe he was lonely and depressed after being taken away from the shelve of bettas

Where can I get bloodworms the do freezed ones work or no, I have never seen live bloodworms where I live, and all my other bettas eat the same exact food

Frozen blood worms are fine just don't chuck the whole block in, 1 block feeds nearly all my bettas
