What is wrong with my male guppy? He has these orangish spots with darker centers, one on his dorsal fin, one one his pecoral fin, and a line of them from his dorsal fin to his caudal fin. I think they may be a fungal growth, but I'm not sure.

If this helps any, recently he had a bad run-in with a betta, who turned his tail-fin into a cresant moon. Could the stress from that and the lessened energy from the healing have to do with anything?

If it is a fungal infection, how can I deplete it? I'm already raising the water to 28 degrees C. Can I add some salt if I put the guppy in a hospital tank with filtration?

If you don't think it's fungal thing, what coult it be? And what could I do to get rid of it?

Thnx

If there are no marks on the skin, cuts etc then id probably go with a bacterial infection, or internal infection of some sort.

Never heard of orange spots, do they look like there changing colour, any fluff on the spots.
Also do the spots looks like a cluster of berries or a cauliflower.

Well if you know the little sinking food, not that I'm explaining it too well, it looks like that. So it's probaly a white spot or something turned orange with blood.

He also lost his appetite completely, not a flake or bloodworm alike make him eat.

I heated the water to 28 degrees C. If it's a bacterial infection will the warmer water do good or bad?

Well is it ok if I put salt in? How much salt for a guppy in a 5 Gal tank?

No lower temp for bacterial infections.
Do they look like very small red blood pimples yet.
I would still treat it as bacterial for now.
Good luck.

Ok I took the heater out of the tank. I found out that what I tought was bumps bewteen his dorsal and caudal fin turned out to be his own flesh, the skin had been torn. I put half a spoon full (the typical spoon for like eating and stuff full) of salt to help keep it clean.

He's still not eating =(

Erm...You need to lower the temp, not remove the heater all together, im assuming you have other fish in the tank that still require a heater.

No, he is in a 5 Gal hospital tank. If I took the heater out, the water would get pretty cold, but I did lower the setting so the water is at a constant 22 Degrees C. What temp should it be?

I treated the water for chlorine, and recently added one of those E.M. and a General Cure capsule tablet things incase they helped.
