What's Wrong With My Female Platy?

This morning I went to feed and check on my fish, and noticed that one of my female platy fish has a pointy clear long thing in her mouth, it's just sticking out of her mouth. It's sticking out so far that you could just hold her and pull it out.(((I'm not gonna do that))). It almost looks like a clear goo. Any ideas what it could be? Thanks

No idea, is she still feeding? Is she looking like she is trying to spit it out? Or is it not bothering her?

New one to me as well. their are bug's known to live in the mouth of fish but thats only in larger fish.

I don't know it looked like she is still eating, and yeah it kinda looks like she's trying to spit it out. She is swimming around. And it looks like it really bothers her

i remember reading soemwhere ....... its a type of worm thing, and that is it's final stage, i can be quite fatal too .....
