I’ve owned bettas for almost 7 years now, I had a male dragonscale and he lived for 4 years and he sadly passed away, so I recently got a half moon male betta i’ve had him for a couple weeks now and he usually actively swims around spreading his fins, but now hes just hiding behind the filter and heater. I keep two mosquito fish and 3 guppies with him but they don’t bother him at all they are actually scared of him lol. He also is still eating and has an appetite. I’m not sure why hes acting so different. I’m honestly concerned

Can we get a better picture of him without the blue light?
What are your water parameters? (Ammonia, nitrite, ect)
How big is your tank?
How often do you do water changes and how much do you change at a time? Do you temperature match and use dechlorinator?

I only have a blue light on the tank, for some reason it didn’t come with a regular tank light option. Ammonia and Nitrite is 0, ph is 6.8. His tank is 10 gallons long. I do 25% water changes every one and half weeks and full water changes every month. I keep the temperature around 78-80 degrees f. And i use api dechlorinator and i’ll add in api stress+coat.
