whats Wrong with mates betta??? (pics inside)

Need Help ASAP

ok mates betta don’t like very well something is wrong with his fins they seems to have some kind of Fin root or something his also is loosing color near the fins which look like rooting and near his mouth…
can some one tell me what’s going on there???
As u can see the picture quality is not great as none of us had the digital cam on us

Judging by the scenario,I would guess he hangs out by the powerhead and it has done a number on his fins making him weak to bacteria and fungus. Best thing would be to cover the intake of the powerhead to slow it down,or put him in his own tank with gentle filtration. What kind of tank mates does he have? What size is the tank? water changes,how often?

You will need a fungus and finrot med and some salt, I also would advise doing some salt baths as it looks bad, check water quality in ammonia,nitrite,nitrate, and do a water change.

I agree that he should be medicated. I would seperate him first though.

yeah he only swims near the filter my mate has a juwel rekord 70

how should he cover the powerhead with silk or cotton???

Yeah,a pair of panty hose would help or something of that sort. Be creative But, it will slow down his filtration a lot AND the waste and such will get stuck in whatever he uses to cover it so he'll have to take it out and clean it off frequently,all for the well being of his betta

if u see neat the tail u'll see that his changing the color next to the tail to a white color
