Whats up with this platy

I am trying to breed platies. I have had a male platy with a few females for awhile and he just doesnt pay attention to them accept one of them and all he does to her is bite her and chase her away. Today I just added this other male, and the one male that I already had is trying to breed with him! Is this normal? And should I get another female who is the new platies color to maybe trick the male?

Erm, I think that last statement was rather uncalled for rae.....

As for the problem, I found that my male platy wasn't interested in girls till I got a few more and he found one he liked. Now he likes all of them, he obviously needed inspiration
