Whats up with my mbuna...?

I have a 55g containing various mbuna. Yesterday i noticed they seem to be very jumpy. Normally when i enter the room or walk towards the tank they all gather together at the top expecting food, but as of yesterday when i go near the tank they dive for cover in the rocks. It's only when i hide so they cant see me that they come out of the rocks and swim as normal?? whats up with them???

anything that could of scared them? like small children? mine were very friendly when i first got them a few years ago. my children were smaller and would go to the tank and literally press their faces to the glass to see them. this made mine a little jittery after awhile.
