Right then

Newish tank, with 3 harlequin rasbora and 10 amano shrimp, there were 5 harlequins but two made a jump for freedom onto the carpet while i was out.

Anyway, these fish have had a stressful journey by courier from Cornwall. And now there is one of the 3 separating itself, obviously they aren't shoaling well because their numbers are low, but one of the jumpers had what looked like ich.

Ive now noticed the fish thats separated itself, its lower fin is white, tried my best to get a picture.

15G planted, doing a silent cycle

Ammonia 0
Nitrite 0
Nitrate 0
pH 6.4

I did have a slight reading of ammonia yesterday but i did a water change and i havent seen any since, probably because i fishless cycled for a bit and now i havent got enough fish in to get an ammonia reading.

Any ideas whats going on with its fin? Ich maybe?

Any tiny white spots on the fish.

Harlequins are nervous fish when you first get them and sometimes they will jump out of the tank. It happened to me.
Once they get used to you they are ok and tend not to jump.
So be careful over the next few weeks.

I couldnt tell you wilder, that fish jumped as well. Im down to two and they seem fine (other than a bit depressed due to lack of friends) :p. Thanks for the help.

Just make sure the harlequins don't have white spot.
If no improvement with the fins get back to the board.
Good luck.

Ok thanks wilder,

Ive seen one of them flick once but havent seen him do it again so im not too sure, ill update this thread if i see a change.

Ok.
Good Luck.
