I have 3 gourami females (2 adult and one young) and a common pleco about 14 inches long
and I was wondering what would be the ideal amount of fish in this size tank as it is likely to be a yr at least before I upgrade to a bigger tank as I have other things to purchase this yr and will not have any spare cash to upgrade.
I don't want small fish like tetra as I have a thing for the big fish, I did have two silver shark but they died I know how big they grow but I really like them. My gourami are not at all aggressive nor is my pleco. what should I have to cheer my tank up or am I already on the limit?

125Litre tank is probably 36" long so your 14" Plec is just under half the tank length. When they get that size the amount of waste they produce is massive so i wouldnt add anything else until you rehome him to a tank that is suitably sized.

erm check your math dude lol....14 and 14 is 28 lol
sorry couldn't resist, yes he poohs a fair bit but then it gets sucked out with a big sucky thing(technical aint I) out 2 times a week and the nitrite is nil so I am guessing thats okay Mr greg aint getting rehomed tho he is about 1 thrid of the tank length and he will be upgrading when I can get the tank I want. And concidering when i got him about 2 month ago he was in a 3ft tank with 3 other plecos and 2 gorami and 5 scissortail raspora and 5 tetra he is living the life of a king now. He spends most of his time slumped on a rock or upright cleaning the glass anyhow and the tank is tall enough.
I really won't be getting any tiddly lil fish tho so I best just hang off until the other plan is out of the way.
