What's The Deal?

So I have a betta and its kinda big(about 3 1/2inches just the body) but just the biggest baby in the world. I have a 100 gallon tank and my little rainbow fin shark just chases him all around!?!? what's that all about?

Bettas are slow fish and their flowing fins make them an irresistible quarry for many fish. You might want to consider setting him up in a studio apartment (3-5g) before his fins get eaten off.

As Kelly said, it'd be best to set up your Betta in his own home. Keep in mind that in smaller tanks, the water current can bother bettas, but that can easily be remedied by adding a bit of filter foam to the inlet and out take valves. I have three bettas - one in a 2-gallon bowl, one in a 3-gallon filter/heated tank and one in a 10-gallon filter/heated tank. In your situation, if the betta is in danger and you cannot set up another tank right away, your fish would be better off in a 2-gallon bowl for a short span.

Agreed with above, but if you dont have room for another tank then buy a divider and divide off atleast 20L of the tank for the betta, im sure he'll be much happier!

Agreed, sounds like thislad is better offon his own, setting him up his own little home would be ideal, 3g really is minimum so it won't take up too much space, there's a thread floating around of people showing off their bettas home if you wanted you could look there for inspirations on itsy bitsy homes! xD
