I have just gotten over a huge breakout of Columnaris (I believe it wasn't fungus but Columnaris) and now only about 4 days after I sorted my tank out I move some fish back to the tank and white spot breaks out.

The tank is fully cycled and PH level is good.

The problem I have is the stock that I have A Rendahls Catfish, BN Plec, 2 tiger barbs, 2 yoyo loaches, 2 swordtails, 2 platies, 2 angelfish, 1 gold severum now whats the best treatment for that stock..I was thinking Protozin...

I just had an outbreak in my community tank and used King British WS3. I believe the main ingredient is malachite green? Dosed at half strength since I also have a BN and turned the temp up to 30c.

The white spot cleared up in about 4 days, tho I followed the instructions on the bottle and continued to dose for a couple of days after the visible symptoms were gone. The last dose for me was today, everyone seems healthy and happy. In a day or two I'll start dropping the temp back to it's normal level.

Good luck with your outbreak!

Ick is pretty easy to get rid of.. I would worry about the loaches and using meds...

I don't know much about that proto stuff, but usually a 1/2 dose is recommended for loaches.

Ive used the King Brittish stuff and it got rid of the whitespot from my male fancy betta overnight (granted i continued treatment for another 48 hours) but no signs after 1 day.

I've used both King British and Protozin (different times) with great results.

I have just used Protozin and the spots went on the second day, i put temp up to 80deg and left the lights of for 3 days.
Last time i had Ich nothing worked and i lost all the fish ,obviously i had a less resistant strain this time.
