Whats the 5 coolest fish you have owned?

I have had a lot of different fish...I have had freshwater to saltwater tanks and now im back to fresh water.

I would have to say the top fish coolest fish I have owned would be...

1. Motorro Stingray ( 6" diameter )
2. African Knife fish ( 16" long )
3. Pacu ( 14" long ) he would eat our of my hand.
4. Oscar ( 10" long ) he lived with the pacu and would take food right from my fingers.
5. Pirahna ( school of 11 )

There have been more like my snakehead, gar pike, barracudas, jack dempsey's, tons of cichlids and other comunity fish, but that is my favorite top 5 that i have owned.

I don't know about the coolest and I can't (at the moment) afford big enough tanks for fish like a lot of those you mentioned but my absolute most favourite fish is the humble pearl gourami.

I would have to go with my peacock gobies (gudgeons) for FW. Its corny, but my Clowns are just the BEST in my SW (does my boxing shrimp count lovely to watch).

My top 5 would have to be

Hydrolycus scomberoides or Sabretooth tetra/payara as they are commonly known
Motoro stingray
Ageneiosus brevifilis/Guyana slopehead catfish
Hemisorubim platyrynchos/spotted shovelnose
Platystomatichthys sturio/sturgeon catfish

Would add Goslinia platynema to that but my one is still in bloody quarentine at the shop until they have cleared up the little case of ICH it has.

Lol, since I've only ever owned one fish, my No. 1 has to be the guppy but they had some really cool fish at a fs, namely-
Some kind of stingray(maybey 5'' diameter)
Clownfish (faitrly common after finding nemo but i love those little guys!)
Dories (the blue ones, finding nemo style)
A tank full of male guppies (all different colours, cramped but awesome looking)

[EDIT: OohFeeshy I was in a LFS recently and two kids ran in shouting 'nemo ,nemo, nemo, nemo, nemo, nemo, nemo.......' Parents noware to be seen. I love my clowns though, they are called krusty and bob.]

I like all my fish, but the ones listed above are the ones with the most personality

1) Raphael Cats (spotted/striped)
2) Silver Sharks
3) Albino Tiger Oscar
4) Red-Bellied Piranha
5) Clown Loach

Difficult 2 decide really... All fish are amazing in their own way don't u all agree?!!!!

No, not even i would attempt to keep a true sturgeon in a aquarium, Platystomatichthys sturio is a Pimeloid catfish from the Amazon basin which reaches around 18 inches in captivity.

3. Violet Gobies (Little & Large)
4. ChacaChaca catfish
5. Ornate Polypterus (Julian)

That's possibly the top five, but we consider all our fish 'cool' ..that's why we chose them!
