Whats More Dominant- Ct Or Hm?

As far as I know, PK is dominant

I guess with any breeding, it'll take quite a bit of work. Just because you won't get a high proportion of the desired offspring first time doesn't mean you shouldn't try =)

hahaha lol.
This is too consusing. 2 people have said PK is dominant and 1 said its not :/

Well, i just found out the female is not actually a HMPK, she is just a PK (thai import, i think)

So the fry outcome will all be a surprise!!! :)

*shrug* Look it up then. I've never seen owt saying PK is dominant, and for one thing, if it was surely plakats would be much more common?

If the female is plain PK, it makes CTPK a lot easier. The offspring will all be long tail, assuming the male has no PK genes, but all will be heterozygous for the PK trait. Similarly, assuming the female has no CT genes, all the offspring will be heterozygous for CT. So thereoretically any two offspring bred together will give 25% CTPK.

Cool. I just found out anyways that the female is a HM only.

Like I said the female being halfmoon is good, but you want 8 rays if possible even 6 will help your outcome, plaket would be better as it will stick out the most especially if you do a dragon pk Here is the proof, sorry it takes you to another forum but this is a first time breed and the guy ended up with alot of pk crown out of the deal so F1 strains both where imported I think, Eaither way I think the outcome of crowntail would be like something like 25% CT, 25% Sunset 25% Halfmoon with a 25% chance of the other fry being what ever they are. That is the way those genes would work, you will end up with some sunset you can find in the batch but the numbers will be low from the looks of it, maybe 10-15% of the batch you will be able to tell, the others you will be able to guess at the gene it carries(By halfmoon I mean anything from halfmoon to delta tail)

oh. thanks!
the link didnt work btw, but i think i get it now! :)

The female is a wide-spread royal Blue HM and her parents were Black Orchids! :)
The male is a Thai imported ct.

Well, i will be reserving the female tommorrow, hopefully!

Then will start a spawning journal :)
