over the lsat week i have been to 5 LFS' in Warwickshire and 2 in northampton.

they are saying the same thing. there supplies of female fighters has been terrible and most are dying within a few days.

Modaz any of yours been like this.

Hi

I live the opposite end of the country to you, but have had mixed reports. Two lfs said they couldn't get any at present, however at Bow aquatics they had just had a big delivery of females. Most were plakats, but there were what could turn out to be HM & SD.

I've had some from them and they are doing really well.

Hope you find some soon

Cheers

I know Northampton have had probs with girls. I have got 5 lovely girls, but have had them a while. A shop I went in had some imbellis but no girls.

which one had imbellis' i just got back from northampton a few hours ago

there seems to be plenty of girls down here but they are always the same colours......best LFS in Plymouth has been having trouble with male stocks, coming in with diseases which shocked me when I went in the other day and saw 2 had fungus as that place never has ill fish, the guy said it had happened the past couple of stocks they'd taken with 1 or 2 fish, bit disconcerting!

exactly the case were i work, Males come in and are fine, Females all die within 48 hours.

hmm... none of my local places have any females lately, apart from pets at home, and theirs seem ok.

my most local place hasne been ordering any past few weeks, coz the last few batches died within a couple of days

ive been speaking to my suppliers about hm and DT females, the problem is that the price of hm females has risen by almost 200% which is making it hard to get them in for some people, ive finally found a supplier of hm males and females but the price is really taking a hard whack on my finances, female vt are easy to get in, ct females are becoming cheaper as they are getting very popular, dt females are around but again the price of these is rising quickly, as for the health it really does depend on the supplier, ive had no problems with my females at all regarding health, ive had more problems with males to be honest as some of them do tend to come in with chewed tails, but there is never any sign of finrot, fungus, or anything on them so im really greatful to have a great supplier who actually does look after their fry, in the past 6 months ive had god knows about 400 female bettas come in and only lost about 5 a few days later due to the journey taking its toll on them but not one has been DOA.

I saw a tank full of females @ World of water and they were tiny. But they looked ok.

The LFS I went to yesterday seems to have a good supplier, they've got about four tanks of females with a different tail type in each, and they're all nice, bright colours instead of the usual poor quality browns. Didn't seem to be any health problems with them, or the males (which again are a mixture of tail types including some very chunky PKs).
