hi all

I really need some help to get rid of this wierd stuff growing in my tank.
For the last couple of weeks theres been green/brown hairs growing off the plants, rocks, heater, filter and on the gravel. It only seems to be growing on the gravel in the faster flowing water areas.
Ive cut back all the leaves that have this "hair" growing on it but it just seems to keep coming back.
Ive tied to do a 3 day blackout and it has no affect.

Water tests carried out every 2 weeks and results always fine.

The tank is 125 ltr with 2 fish, 1 molly and 1 plec.

Any advise would be greatfully recieved.

Thanks, Wesley

Algae of some kind.

*Checks aaronnorth's signature for algae guide link...* Ah, here it is! Have a look at this link for identification and likely causes: http://www.theplantedtank.co.uk/algae.htm

there is a nutrient deficancy somewhere. your ferts are WAY out of balance with your lighting most likely. that link is a good one though. im telling you though there isnt balance in your tank, youe either ferting too much or to less or something to do with light, c02 or all of the above.
