Hi everyone!

Im hoping someone on here can help.

I have a fish (a good old goldfish lol) who may have somthing wrong with him

He has some kind of mass on his snout. Any ideas? I have taken a photo added below.

How many gallons or litres is the tank?
How many fish and which type.
Water stats in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph.
\
Is the mass look like cotton wool?
Can you describe what you see in more detail please.
Could you enlarge the pic also.

140 litres
2 gold fish
1 black moor
1 fancy goldfish
9 white cloud mountain minnows
2 plecos

0.50 (new tank, fish was already with this mass and didnt notice till he was in), 0, 0, 7.4.

not so much like cotton wool but more like a mucus of types across its snout.

I expect the ammonia levels to be slight elevated due to the fish recently being introduced. In hindsight maybe too many at once. other than that the levels look fine.

After doing a bit of digging im thinking its a fungus growth which has took hold due to stress. Rescued him from my nephews bowl (not the cleanest).

Ive added some fungus medicine and will see how that goes over the next 7 days. The other goldfish (out of my nephews bowl) has no signs of any growths.

Your tanks overstocked i'm afraid. You need at least a 60 gallon for all those fish.
120 gallon filter.
Also goldfish need double filteration due to being massive waste producers.

If the med dosn't do the job get back to the board.

Keep preforming water changes.
Just add the correct amount of med back to water removed.
