I was wondering, my new tank is arriving on saturday :D, i already have 4 fish in a small hexagonal tank, but they are to big now (2x wcm and 2x neon tetras), i was wondering if it would be better to get them out of there as soon as the new tank came and do a fishy cycle. I no neons are not the hardiest of fish, but the minnows are pretty hard, perhaps if i were to do the cycle with 5 minnows... i dont no any advice would be great!!

(Juwel rekord 120, filter is beeng upgraded to 600l/ph instead of the 400 its comes with)

Either adding some media from your current filter in the small tank to new tanks filter, or run your old filter in the new tank for 2-3 weeks, these methods seed the new tanks filter fairly quickly

with that would i beable to put the fish in straight away?

Either way, Yes, though adding the original filter to the new tank would be the best way as the filter is already set to the bioload of x fish, just the water through-put of the smaller filter would be very pushed, but if you can seed (add some media) from the small filter to the new one as well this would be the absolute best scenario
