I have 5 to 8ish gal (critter keeper) with bunch of plants in it. And I was wonder what is small livebearers I can kept in the 8gal tank? As the summer comes here ill put them outside in the tub. I already have five critter keepers and a 5gal hexegon tank.

Three tanks already have some fish in it. One contained a trio of feeder guppies, another tank has reservse trio of black bars endlers and one tank has three mystery young livebearers from feeder tank and three deformed female feeder guppies. So I have only two tank left, what livebearers I can put it? It have to be a trio (two females and a male).

When the tank get too many of fry I have already big fish awaiting for them or sell some fry to someone.

I also have three 10gal tank and a 55gal that already have residents. I also have 10gal tank meant for fry. I already have a spare plan to do with the fry but what livebearers I can keep in two more tank?

try to get the little mosquito fish if you want some different, Heterandria formosa these are something like the 5 smallest fish in the world

Thank you. I will add heterandria formosa to my collection. Now it leave us is just one more tank....what is other small livebearers? Do the heterandria formosa has color strains or location strains?

Heterandria formosa
popular name mosquito fish from being used to control mosquito's. This tiny fish is one of the smallest livebearers kept in an aquarium. male 20mm female 30mm. colour is brown in both sexes. Location s. Carolina.Georgia & Florida. it is easy to keep and breed if feed Live food. I keep them and their fry in an 10x10x10 tank. with java moss for the fry to hide in temp 70-75f-they will soon breed in these conditions female drops 2 or 3 fry daily for a week or 10 days. they will not eat the fry if well feed.
best kept in species tank.
There is also a gold strain. they will breed with each other its best to keep them apart

the brown is the best i think, but I've seen Fish48's Gold you had in the past and they are ok but not as nice.

Neoheterandria elegans would be a good one for the other tank.

Wow Neoheterandria elgans looking so stunning than hetetandria formosa. Of course they are hard to find in U.S, but I knew where the heterandria formosa and its gold strains are.

I'd like to learning about the Neoheterandria elgans more.

Requirements for Neoheterandria elgans are same as heterandria Formosa ,
The fry are very tiny at birth both species do very wall when kept in small tanks.

the brown is the best i think, but I've seen Fish48's Gold you had in the past and they are ok but not as nice.

These are nice fish even smaller than than the formosa.
