shop told me tropical fish food flackes so i baught some and he wont touch it so went back and baught pellits again he swallows them and then spits them back out lol what a fussy lil eater he is!!! what can you recomend for me? and also is frozen blood worms and brime shrimp good to giv him? thanx guy's :good:

Pellets are best for most Bettas. See if you can get some Hikari Betta Gold pellets or Atisons Betta Pro.

Give the frozen foods just once a week for a treat. They really do love them and will quite happily indulge until they pop lol

I feed all our fish Spectrum Grow - New Life.

It is amazing food if they are fussy and choc full of goodness that pellets and flakes dont have. Its also amazing for colour enhancement and ive found once they eat it they wont go back to pellets. All though pricey it is worth it.

where could i get these guy's? and thanx for the recomended foods :good:

Pets@home do the hikari pellets and the atisons betta pellets are usually on sale on ebay.

I feed my betta pellets in the morning, frozen food at night. Occasionaly giving him a pea as well.

He is not a fan of dried food. I think he realises now that it is that or nothing. Saying that he enjoys catfish sinkers. He used to batter the corys out the way as he bottom fed on these.

If you give the betta to much frozen foods they will get swim bladder.

His favourite is definately bloodworms but mosquito larvae and brine shrimp are also popular. One thing he does not enjoy is daphnia.

I am always on the look out for other foods, I reckon it is good to give them a bit of variety in their diet.

I use tetrabetta and brineshrimp....

^^^^ my fighter loves daphnia he follows them around then "gits" them.

Mine also loves daphnia he even tries to swallow the ones which are to big for his mouth.

I feed my betta frozen bloodworm in the mornings and betta bio gold in the evenings. Is feeding frozen bloodworm everyday a bad thing? I read that it was ok but reading this post has made me doubt what i read. Any feedback would be really helpful, thanks.
Aims. x x x

I dont think feeding them it everyday is a bad thing, I try to have some variety in what type of frozen food I use though.

I am following the same diet as you, just do it the alternative way and my betta seems both happy and healthy.
