What You Can Put With Male Bettas

I always get asked what you can keep with male bettas and I say, if your lucky some cories and ottos.

Anyone got anything else?

I had a betta in a tank with swordtails and glassfish at one point, got along great!

If you're lucky and have a large tank, you can put many kinds of fish together with a male betta. Platys, dwarf guaramis, cherry barbs, minnows, tetras and even guppies.

i have a male betta in a 20 usg. with cardinals, and head n tail light (6 each)
they get along fine, no probs at all with fin nipping.
i would like to add cory's but dont want to over stock (ive always been a little paranoid about that!)
i also have a 29 usg. with a group (4) females with similar fish (tetras) and dont have any probs at all.

I had a 12 gallon with 1 male betta, 4 Cories and 2 ADF. First one of the ADF's disappeared, never discovered what had happened, then one of the cories, then another cory was found dying on the bottom of the tank, and the Betta was seen terrorising the remaining cories The remaining ADF and the Betta got on fine, no problems but I'd never keep a Betta with any other fish again, not worht the risk
