Dovii, if a dovii cannot eat the other fish in the tank it just kills them. Little ones are really cute though.

Would have to say the Aurturas not only is it aggressive its unbalanced after being calm for a year or so they can just turn overnight and wipe out half a tank.

Melanochromis Chipokae - makes an Auratus look like a Platy.

Perhaps not a commonly available cichlid but one vicious little species, pound for pound by far the most aggressive fish i have ever kept.

well it looks as if the mbuna are going to win this one and these are the small species from the lake theres still dimidiochromis and the other large predators that would eat melanochromis in a flash !

That's cheating bringing size into it For a fair comparison between such variety its gotta be based on temperament and not what would happen in a 1 on 1

Oooo I want a black shark, Ive heard they are some of the most agressive fish you can get though. Hada guy tell me they will even kill all but the most agressive cichlids.

just found this, Wolf cichlid (Parachromis dovii) meant to be one of the 3 most aggressive cichlids on the planet !

I once had a jewel cichlid, it killed my jack dempsy, green terror, crab and loved the taste of my fingers,
but he was only 2 and a half inches long.

I gave him to my friend, who still has him today. and hates him but cant put him down because he has too much character.

In my experience I think Convicts are one of the worst, it de-scaled my arutas( spelled wrong) and the arutas was a adult male.
