What Would You Do?

I have a 55, 30, 20 (and can do a 15 if necessary)

The fish I currently have are:

1 rainbow shark
13 neon tetra
2 male mollies assorted
3 female mollies assorted
6 or so baby mollies
3 zebra danios
2 glofish (zebra danio)
10 tiger barbs
4 otocinclus
4 blue (3 spot) gourami
3 angel fish
1 yellow (orange?) African cichlid
Glass shrimp

Keep in mind all but angels I follow the 2" per gallon method not 1

I don't mind if mollies and shrimp are put where babies will be eaten. Need population control on the live bearers.

Your suggestions could also include the purchase of additional fish. In particular I'm open to other gouramis, cardinal tetra, more mollies, guppies, or other suggestions.

Please tell me what u would put where and why.


Also, My friend had a 75, 30, and 20. He is aware that if everything survives he'll need another large tank and he's ready to buy it as necessary. He has:

13 tinfoil barbs
2 rainbow sharks
10 tiger barbs
1 kissing gourami. Only this is full grown
5 otocinclus
5 Cory cats
3 bala sharks. He intends to get more. His friend was keeping these for him and some died
Glass shrimp

As you can probably tell, he likes the bigger fish. What would you suggest he do to divide these and what else should he consider buying to put with these.

I know there are so many varying opinions of what goes with what, so I'd be interested in as many people as possible weighing in in terms of compatibility of temperament, size, needs, balancing the look and activity of the tank etc.

Do you mean 55, 30 & 20 as in gallon tanks? Are all these fish in the same tank?

These methods are all rough rules of thumb and don't take into accound many very important factors of stocking like activity levels of the fish, habitat needs, gender ratio stocking, different fish temperment stocking etc.

Yes I'm referring to gallons. No they aren't in the same tank. They're spread out among the tanks.
