I'm seriously annoyed. I posted previously for an ID of 3 unknown cories. Turns out when I bought 4 melini cories, I actually bought 3 delphax and 1 melini. The 3 delphax seem to be buddies (I actually nicknamed them the 3 amigos), so I decided to add another group (7) of the melini (from a different fish store).
The smallest cory I received I thought looked a little different, and after it settled and colored up it looks to be a skunk cory. So now I have 3 delphax, 7 melini, and 1 skunk cory. My goal was to have a large shoal of the same species, and I've ended up with 3 different kinds. I guess it's my fault for the first mix up as I didn't pay attention as the LFS was fishing them out with a net, but the second ones I had shipped so I had no way of knowing until the fish actually arrived (I did contact them and they admitted the error).
I'm inclined to keep all of them as they seem to have adjusted well to the tank, but I'm fully stocked at this point so can't increase any of the shoals. I'd worry about stressing the delphax and the skunk if I returned them to the store and then there's no guarantee they'd be bought in groups anyway.
Thoughts?
