What would you add?

What would you add to a twenty gallon tank with 2 rams, 2 honey gourami, and 4 oto's

I say your done, because rams are pretty sesitive and I wouldn't want to push them.

In a twenty long you could add two or three cories and some ghost shrimp.

Rams are messy eaters and the ghosties and cories would help keep your tank clean.

My blue rams were never messy eaters. They would spit flakes out time from time but the neons would always scramble to suck it up. :nod: Ghost shrimp are really cute. You could get some of those. :D

I'd get some other type of loach but obviously something small. Khulies get to 4" - I was thinking something around 2". Maybe botia histrionica?

I agree :)

there's no sense in crowding your fish in! unless you see a single something that you just *have* to have, you should just count yourself full.

conservatively speaking:
rams = 2 inches each
honeys = 3 inches each
otos = 2 inches each

in total you have about 18 inches of fish! you've got room for one or two fun things more, but then you'll be pushing it. i'd save that room for the impulse purchase you just can't live without...

on a side note: is that a pair or just two rams in the tank? if its a pair, then you have the absolute maximum amount of fish for when breeding season swings around. there's some really good advice in the New World Chiclids forum about these sorts of things.
