The pet store had a buy Amquil Plus and get NovAqua Plus free. Do I use one or the other or both when doing water changes? I have been using amquil with cycle but I've been told I don't need the cycle every time I do a water change. (That amquil smells bad! How do you keep the house from stinking?? ) Thanks! Lisa

In my opinion (and also that of most others) the Cycle is useless and a waste of money. All you really need is a dechlorinator and any of them are fine as long as it removes chlorine and neutralizes chloramine. I personally use Stress Coat and have for over 2 years. I wouldn't use any of the ones that stink.

I personally like to use Prime as my water conditioner because not only is it a good product, but it's very concentrated so you get more for your money than some other products. It is smelly if you take a whiff of the bottle, but since you only use 2 drops per gallon it's not noticeable at all.

I use Tetra's Aquasafe Water Conditioner. Used it through all my years of fish keeping and have never had any problems with it. :good: :good:
