I dont knkw where to out this so I will stick it here.
So every one post aboit your first tanks

My first real memory of keeping fish i was about 7 i guess. I know we owned fish before that but I was little. These first fish were bate minnows my father and grandfather bought to go fishing and got rained out so we adopted them. They lived in a gallon size pickle jar and we feed them bread crumbs. Keep in mind this was almost 25 years ago before the internet was much of a thing and we didnt know better. There were about 20 minnows and we gave them all names We named the bigest healthiest looking 1 long to live and the smallest sickest looking one soon to die. Long to live ended up dieing first and soon to die died last and we had a funeral for him and burried him under a tree in our yard.
My first "real" fish were 2 goldfish and a tadpole when i was 15 they lived in a 1 gallon bowl till they started fighting so i got then their own bowls. I went out of town for a week once and my cat decided they looked like a nice snack. He caught 1 took a bite out of it and left the dead fish in the middle of the kitchen.

My first tank was a little 10 gallon with a gourami and some sort of tetra, I believe there was also a common pleco (oh lordy). Lets just say they all did not live happy or long lives, but to be fair to me I was like 6. Honestly I am very disappointed in all the fish keeping I did up until like 5 months ago when I got my 55 gallon and am now keeping African cichlids and have some of the best water parameters I have ever had. That 10 gallon still holds a special place in my heart, it's been in storage for awhile but it has saved countless lives from diseases, particularly my favourite fish I have ever owned, he was on the verge of death and that tank was able to be used as a hospital for him to regrow all his lost fins, now he is the boss of my cichlid tank :D

Don't remember my first tank but I remember getting a fish bowl and a goldfish. Remember getting a fish tank made from plastic / acrylic. Back then Id do a 100% water change as I'd never heard of the nytrogen cycle and the benefitial bacteria.

Had 2 goldfishes which one died of swim bladder. The other one was alive until I got my current 28 litre tank which I got 6 years ago. The goldfish was getting ammonia burns so in the end just gave them to my grandad who had a pond. Lived a lot happier there and grew really big. Sadly he got eaten by a pelican. Lived to about 10 years. I then bought tropical fish and properly got into the hobby and stuff like how important the filter is and cycling. Had tropical fish in it till today but noticed the fish only live to a few months so thought might get something bigger. All the ammonia, nitrates and nitrite are in the right concentrations.

Went ahead and got a 130 litre tank. A lot bigger and hopefully is better for the fish in terms of space and stocking. Planning on seeding it by transferring the filter sponge in my current tank into it along with the ornaments and sand substrate to get the most of the bacteria out. Can't wait to set it up.
